His wife, Susan, later joined him, leaving a corporate career in Human Resources to help manage the growing business. Over time, customers began requesting additional services beyond painting, such as installing light fixtures, mirrors, window treatments, plumbing fixtures, ceiling fans, and other home repairs. In response, the company evolved into Powell Painting & Handyman to better reflect its expanded offerings.
