  • Verify that your contractor is insured; ask for a “Certificate of Insurance” showing both liability (for
    your property) AND worker’s compensation (for their workers)
  • Confirm the references
  • Review their professional affiliation, i.e.—PDCA (Painting and Decorating Contractors of America),
    BBB, etc.
