The
The Powell Painting Company was recently privileged to assist the Macko family of
Powell, OH with a project honoring the memory of Amy Macko’s father who died from
pancreatic cancer, and Professor Randy Pausch of Carnegie Mellon University who is
currently battling the disease.
Professor Pausch’s final lecture at Carnegie Mellon has inspired millions with his positive
message of living life to the fullest and realizing childhood dreams. During his lecture,
Professor Pausch describes his parent’s encouragement to follow his dreams by allowing
him to paint his childhood room. The Oprah show spoke with several families inspired to
allow their children to express themselves in this way.
